Cat4RoadHaulier

A universal transport management system

Cat4RoadHaulier is a universal transport management system which has not yet been equalled in terms of areas of application and functionality. This system with its modular structure supports intermodal transports by road, rail and water. Cat4RoadHaulier is primarily used by medium sized to very large transport companies, often with international locations. There are optional modules for container transports, liquid & bulk and groupage & distribution. A high end plan board module is integrated as standard and it meets the planning process within the transport company flexibly. Cat4RoadHaulier connects with the GreenCat on board computer system TopIQ seamlessly.

Cat4RoadHaulier is a TMS platform which continues to grow in line with daily practice thanks to ongoing R&D. It uses ‘workflow management' which implies that all operations, actions and pieces of advice which the system presents or generates run in exact step with the actual logistical procedure within the transport company.

The module Business Rule Engine provides unique possibilities with which the user can add intelligence to the process in a flexible way. With Business Rule Engine the TMS is assigned a measured ‘authorisation' to take decisions itself.

Module ‘Containertransport'
Container transport is characterised by complex planning of a large number - often point to point - of chassis movements. The planning process is structured round the entity ‘container'. Trucks are planned on containers rather than the other way round. Optimisation of kilometre outputs and reduction of waiting times has priority. This application is often used in combination with TerminalOperator in order to match the truck and terminal planning together in an operation.

Module ‘Liquid & bulk'
With this module the tank/bulk transporter with his own container fleet gains a full grip of his complex logistical process. Cat4RoadHaulier provides the overview and insight for efficient planning and thus preventing unnecessary costs and kilometres. By simply ‘pulling' through, loads material (semi-trailers, trucks and tank containers) and drivers are distributed over the various modalities such as road, rail, sea or waterways. In this the planner can take into account the necessary intermediate stops, for example at container depots or for tank cleaning. Thanks to track & trace of the material there is never a load missing.

Module ‘Groupage & Distribution'
Cat4RoadHaulier makes the complex operation of a transporter with storage and cargo handling facilities manageable. The package organises all streams of information including information from customers about loads offered and to be supplied. Incoming dispatches are parked punctually at a location assigned by the system, planned for passing on and loaded into the vehicles in supply order.
The ‘workflow manager' in Cat4suite once again relieves the planner of much work here. Once fed with the desired implementation scenarios the system takes control faultlessly.
